Maine Art Education Association is a professional organization devoted to furthering the growth of visual arts education in the state. Our membership includes active, retired and student categories. Goals focus on the professional development of all members, the promotion of art education at all levels, and the encouragement of innovation and research in art education. MAEA provides a forum for the exchange of ideas and for collaboration with other arts agencies in the state. The Association holds an annual conference in the Fall, publishes a newsletter, organizes both student and artist/educator exhibits, provides a student scholarship each year, and maintains a web site at mainearted.org.

The Maine Association of Family and Consumer Sciences is a professional organization whose goal is to bring people together to improve the lives of individuals, families and community through education, research, cooperative programs and public information.
Maine AFCS educator (K-12 and Extension) comprise 70% of our members, which include active and retired professionals in the family and consumer sciences field. The organization holds one annual conference for professional development and one mini-conference/business meeting each year. The group publishes two newsletters yearly and sends monthly e-mail reports to members.

MASL is dedicated to promoting quality library media services in all the schools of our state. MASL supports the integration of learning experiences throughout the curriculum and the integration of new technologies into the learning environment. MASL believes that the Library Media Specialist and the support staff personnel are totally involved in the teaching/learning process, working with students and teachers, using every means possible to help make learning a meaningful and rich experience. MASL collects, evaluates, and disseminates information pertaining to the development of education media programs through an annual conference, quarterly journal and workshops.

A professional association dedicated to provide professional development opportunities for people in Maine who provide career information/career assistance to others. To provide networking opportunities for these same professionals in the field of career development and to be an advocacy group for career development issues.
